Mantiq Al-Tayr (Musyawarah Burung)
Mantiq Al-Tayr (Musyawarah Burung) merupakan karya yang paling fenomenal dari Fariduddin Attar. Kitab itu berisi pengalaman spiritual yang pernah dilaluinya untuk mencari makan dan hakikat hidup. Attar menuangkan pengalamannya itu melalui sebuah cerita perjalanan sekawanan burung agar lebih mudah dimengerti.
Dengan gaya bertutur, kitab itu mengisahkan perjalanan sekawanan burung untuk mencari raja burung yang disebut sebagai Simurgh di puncak Gunung Kaf yang agung. Sebelum menempuh perjalanan berkumpulah segala burung di dunia untuk bermusyawarah. Tujuan mereka hanya satu yakni mencari raja. Dalam perjalanan itu, para burung yang dipimpin oleh Hud-hud harus melalui tujuh lembah.
Ribuan
burung sedunia pun berangkat. Namun yang berhasil bertemu denga sang
raja hanyalah 30 ekor saja. Tujuh lembah yang dikisahkan dalam cerita
itu melambangkan tingkatan-tingkatan keruhanian yang telah dilalui Attar
selama berkelana mencari hakikat hidup.
Ketujuh lembah yang harus ditempuh untuk dapat bertemu dengan Sang Khalik itu adalah lembah pencarian, lembah cinta, lembah keinsyafan, lembah kebebasan dan kelepasan, lembah keesaan murni, lembah keheranan, lembah ketiadaan, dan keterampasan.

I was still wondering about the stars and the universe until I came to know across about two great Muslim men.....in space science..
. Dr. Farouk El- Baz... born in Zagazig, Egypt.
who participated in The Apollo Programs and lunar landings as Supervisor of Lunar Science Planning....his outstanding teaching abilities were comfirmed by the Apollo astronauts...
. Lieutenant General Kerim Aliyevich Kerimov........Azerbaijani-Soviet Russia.
who was a rocket scientist and his name was kept secret from the public... works starting from the launch of the first satellite Sputnik , the first human spaceflight in space aboard Vostok 1.. the first automated space docking Cosmos 186 until the first space stations Salyut and Mir series.
I also found out from wiki... the early muslim astrologers and astronomers were amazing as their inventions and findings were acknowledged.
The Tusi-couple is a mathematical device invented by Nasir al-Din al-Tusi in which a small circle rotates inside a larger circle twice the diameter of the smaller circle. Rotations of the circles cause a point on the circumference of the smaller circle to oscillate back and forth in linear motion along a diameter of the larger circle.

The planet Earth which I used to call ' the big blue marble' or the world,dunya,dunia or as what you name it. One of the known nine planets.
Its size just like that of a marble.
The world to us is vast consists of continents and divided into countries, the civilization grew due to conquests by the early and present powers and I'm not going into any science or religious facts here.
I was amazed and thankful with the wonders of the universe and all that planetary and solar systems, moon, sun and the stars.
I found these pictures from Google search for me to compare.
They were created with different sizes.
Earth with all the planets and the stars.
First with the planets and we could still see it like a small marble among the planets.
It was a mere speck just like a dot when compared with the sun and some stars.
I wonder when looking at the present situations today all around the world there is so much trouble and chaos as it slowly destroying the beauty of the land in the name of peace.
But when Earth is compare among the big stars, it seems to vanish from our sights on that universal map in space.
Earth that is our world could not be seen on the universal map of space but still it makes me wonder why.... don't you ?
